These results demonstrated that geranyltin reduced the process of airway remodeling and fibrosis by inhibiting ROS generation and inactivating PI3K/Akt and MAPK pathways to alleviate TGF-β1-induced EMT. Diosmetin can alleviate the pathological changes of lung tissue, EMT, bronchial asthma, lung injury and other respiratory diseases through anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects and triggering different signaling pathways.

6. Kidney disease diosmetin pretreatment reduced the inflammatory response and renal tubular cell apoptosis in acute kidney injury, and significantly increased the expression of antioxidant proteins. The renoprotective effects of geranitin involve inhibition of Nf-κB expression and mitochondrial apoptotic pathway and activation of Nrf2/HO-1 pathway. Therefore, geranitin can improve renal injury after renal ischemia/reperfusion.
